Vivian Maier Exhibitioin

I'm quite a bit late in posting this. The show will be closing at the end of the month and I hope to get to the city to see it. You shouldn't miss this woman's amazing work. Read about how she was discovered here.

Negligence

It's nothing too serious, except that I used to be much better at getting photos out of my camera in a timely manner. I just downloaded images from my memory card dating back to January. To say I've been a little negligent in managing my photos is pretty accurate. I'll be posting links and images etc from the last several months over the course of the day.

Garden State Surfing

Right now I'm supposed to be studying for a big Anatomy & Physiology test I have tomorrow but I'm procrastinating instead. I also realize I haven't posted anything to this blog in about a month.

not much

I don't have much these days...
Sadly, I haven't taken a non work-related photo since last week. That's really, really pathetic actually.
However, I have been surfing most days. Sometimes twice a day - in the morning before work and then when I come home, before it gets dark. In between surf sessions, I'm commuting or at work. It doesn't leave time for much else. Therefor the fridge is getting bare and the laundry is piling up...
Tuesday night I did go to the movies with Christina. We saw the latest Harry Potter.
Otherwise, like I said, there's not a whole lot going on.
This weekend I'm determined to take some photos.
I shouldn't let so much time go by without at least one snap.
I'll see what I can squeeze in between more surfing. Gotta get the waves while they're here - I can do the rest when it's flat.

I hope I don't get in trouble for this

Sometimes work can be extra cool. Especially when they let me out of the studio...

I'm not sure I'm allowed to use some of these images - I'll take them down if they tell me to... I hope that doesn't happen.

UPDATE: Preemptively I've taken down some of the photos that might land me in hot water... So if you notice the post looks different, that's why. I'd really prefer to stay out of that kind of trouble.

i'm going backwards with my posts

Friday night, we went down to LBI for the opening of our friend Ann's new photo studio/office. We had a great time, saw some old friends and met some new people including Marley, who is pictured here, with his owner Neal standing behind him.
I also met the owners of a vegan/vegetarian restaurant on the Island called Living on the Veg. You can check out who they are & what they do here and here.

We heard at Ann's opening that there might be something going on at The Pine Surfshop & Gallery next weekend. It's possible that artist Julie Goldstein, who also happens to be one of the owners of Pine, is showing some new work.

Once I get more details, I'll post an update.

Both Ann and Julie are incredibly talented and amazing artists so please go check out the links to their work. Support local artists and their endeavors.
